The nike wristband seems lightweight, which is good. I'm sure watches of the data feed sort like Lunatik+Tiktok are heavier. I guess the plus in having datafeed on your wrist is that it could also calculate your pulse, thus making it a new age sports tool. But what if it is incorporated with Siri? If it could incorporate all the database inside that small wristband, then you could speak to it and it would respond. What about it's incorporation with the Apple TV? Couldn't we say "Turn On" and the wristband would automatically turn on our TV or when we say "Play Mission Impossible" and it plays movies too?

Sensors and wearables will also be super-interesting when they are incorporated into deep transmedia storytelling.

Imagine certain parts of a larger narrative adjusting to your location, your mood and such. Plot points or character strengths could be dependent on how many people are actually wearing the 'special bracelet'. Character needs to run to catch a hover-car? 5,000 people had better start running (irl) in order for that character to succeed in the story.

Nice story. Kudos to you and your restraint, lol. Not many probably would've been able to keep it together - not at then or ever, haha.

I like the way he used to dress when he was being "regular." My HS history teacher dressed like that - slacks, tennis (or loafers) and plaid/striped/plain button-fronts. It's neat and understated, :)

Great Story! Im jealous that I never got to meet Michael. I find it very fitting that Michael would wear a mask. How else is he suppose to go around un-noticed when virtually everyone in the world knows your face!! lol Thanks for sharing! R.I.P my sweet Michael!!

Great storytelling, Brian!

I enjoyed reading this very much and have bookmarked it for reading again in the future, so don't delete it, okay? :)

I've never stood face-to-face with any major celebrity, ever, but the thought of standing right in front of someone as great and famous as Michael Jackson simply blows my mind, unreal to say the least.

Thanks Bro!

What a great story.....the way you told it put us right there with you. Thank goodness there are people like you. Michael Jackson was a human being who had the right to go out in public to buy some records just like anyone else. How sad that he had to wear a mask....what is wrong with society?? The media frenzy killed this man I am convinced.....

Hello,

Having brushed up with some musical *artists* myself, as you know, they are people just like you and me. And that is what MJ wanted that day. Kudos to you for allowing him the simple pleasure of shopping for music, you made his day (and I am sure he made yours) Had you asked for an autograph, the story would have changed. Thank you for sharing your story about a musical legend.

Regards,
Robert

Brian, I remember Licorice Pizza and even remember you working there. That's a cool story and one that doesn't surprise me. I used to see Michael quite often driving around the valley with his surgical mask on in the 80's and 90's when he was in that phase. He was truly larger than life and while peculiar, how can ANY of us really know what life is like being that famous from such a young age. It seems as if it took his tragic death for the world to try to look at him differently than if everything he did was suspect. The music world lost a genius and, it seems, that the "real" world lost someone who seemed to care much more about humanity than most people ever gave him credit for. RIP Michael.
